History

60's - Early Beginnings

The company was created by Robin Faccenda on a farm based at Whitfield in Northamptonshire in 1962. Agricultural expansion continued during the next 10 years as the business grew from this base.

70's - A Manufacturing Base

The first processing plant was completed at Willow Road, Brackley, Northamptonshire producing 10,000 birds per week in 1972. This was followed by further agricultural expansion, including the first hatchery at Rayne and feed mill in Banbury.

80's - A Growing Business

Following the acquisition of the Rochford Breeding Operation in 1981 together with a second Hatchery at Quainton four years later and further agricultural acquisitions, by the late 1980’s Faccenda had 1m birds on the ground at any one time.

In parallel the manufacturing operations also continued to expand apace with the acquisition of the Buckingham Road processing plant in 1985 and Hinton Poultry in Somerset in 1989.

90's - New Horizons

In 1996 the continued growth of the business led to the opening of a new modernised Head Office building at Brackley. Then in the late 90’s Faccenda acquired two major portioning operations in Dudley and Telford as the Group expanded into new product areas.

2000's - A Major Player

In 2000 Faccenda acquired a substantial business, Webbs Country Foods, which included breeder and broiler farms, a feed mill and 4 processing plants. With this acquisition Faccenda gained critical mass in a sector undergoing consolidation together with a valuable channel into the retail sector.
