Our Environment

The following are examples of our progress and continued commitment to work with the IPPC regulatory system (wwww.defra.gov.uk):

We have invested in technologies that enabled us to reduce energy use by 21% and water 40% per bird, whilst maintaining welfare standards. CO2 emissions from our primary processing facility have been cut by 16%.
Through a number of business partners, we support recycling initiatives and have significantly reduced landfill, by up to 50% at some sites.
We have worked with our customers and suppliers to reduce household waste. This has been achieved by reducing plastic packaging throughout our portion range. This work was supported and facilitated by the Waste and Resource Action Programme, WRAP (www.wrap.org.uk)
