“We have worked closely in partnership with the local authority during the planning stages of this project. We are delighted to be able to bring inward investment in manufacturing to Telford and secure a significant workforce in the region.”Councillor Charles Smith, Telford & Wrekin Council’s cabinet member for Housing, Development and Borough Towns, said:
“We are a business winning and business supporting council and have recently launched our Invest In Telford programme to encourage companies to relocate here. A key part of that programme is also about supporting existing businesses to reach their maximum potential and remove any red tape in their way that prevents that. We have been working very closely with Faccenda to enable them to develop their Hortonwood site and I am delighted that they are now able to make this announcement.”The current site in Telford will remain open and functioning during the construction of the new site. It is envisaged the new factory will be completed by mid-2014 and fully operational by January 2015.
